The LP-GADIS instrument is designed to measure the gas adsorption isotherm of an adsorbent sample. It determines the maximum volume that a sample can store under equilibrium conditions at a given pressure and temperature. The instrument uses the volumetric method which measures pressure and volume of a reference and test cell that are held at a constant temperature and that contain the granulized sample. The apparatus is composed of two sample cells, one reference cell, three pressure transducers and a thermostatic bath. An Excel spreadsheet is provided to enter the pressure and temperature readings and generate the adsorption isotherm report.

In other words, it determines the maximum volume that a sample can store under equilibrium conditions at a given pressure and temperature. The instrument uses the volumetric method which measures pressure and volume of a reference and test cell that are held at a constant temperature and that contain the granulized sample. The apparatus is fully automated, with computer controlled gas injection, pressure measurement and data acquisition. The apparatus can be configured with two, three or four samples test cells to be simultaneously and independently evaluated.
