Video Separators

Video Tracker

Manufacturer: Vinci Technologies
Model Number: VT

Designed to measure volumes of liquid produced in a glass collector during a process at ambient conditions. The device consists of a precision bore calibrated glass collector, a capturing unit made of three video cameras with backlighting and a data acquisition station with video software to log and display the pictures of produced liquid volumes versus time. Two glass collectors of 100 ml and 300 ml capacity are provided with the instrument. Measurement of produced fluids is performed with two video cameras which monitor the position of the interface of two fluids in the collector. The position of the interface is directly proportional of the volumes of fluids. The high resolution cameras are equipped with an integrated zoom and a back lighting installed in the rear side of the collector. The cameras are connected to the computer station so that the images of fluids can be displayed and recorded on the PC. The video software incorporates facilities which enable to detect automatically liquid/ liquid and gas/ liquid interface.

3-Phase Video Separator for Hi-Pressure, Hi-Temperature

Manufacturer: Vinci Technologies
Model Number: VSE-700-3

The three phase visual separator is a unique tool available on the market capable of separating, visualizing and measuring the heights of water/oil and oil/gas interfaces so as to determine the produced liquids and gases from core flooding experiments under reservoir conditions. The device consists of a two bore vessel and a computer controlled video system. The two bores are connected to each other. The first separator bore collects and separates the produced phases while the second visual measurement bore allows for the water/oil and oil/gas interfaces to be clearly observed. Three high resolution video cameras monitor in real time the produced phases and a computer station automatically determines and records the heights of the water/oil and oil/gas interfaces. Changes in core saturations versus time can be derived from these interface heights and stored in a data file for further treatment. These separators are available in stainless steel or titanium alloy materials.

2-Phase Video Separator for Hi-Pressure, Hi-Temperature

Manufacturer: Vinci Technologies
Model Number: VSE-700-2

The apparatus is designed to separate the two phase fluids produced from the core at reservoir conditions of pressure and temperatures. The separator consists of (1) a separation bore used to collect and separate produced fluids under gravity and (2) a measurement bore used to visualize the two phases fluid interface at reservoir conditions. The measurement bore consists of a through-window cell made of two windows mounted opposite each other to allow for sample visibility. Placing a light behind one window allows easy discernment of the two phases interface level. Measurement of produced fluids during the displacement test is performed with a video tracker. It is designed to detect the position of the fluid interface and determine the fluid phase volumes in the separator. The system comprises three high resolution cameras, a back lighting installed in the rear side of the separator and an imaging system for image capture via PC and high resolution monitor. The imaging software enables to detect automatically the fluid interface and determine the produced fluid volumes from the core and the changes in the core saturation.

3-Phase Video Separator for Ambient Conditions

Manufacturer: Vinci Technologies
Model Number: VSE-3-A

The video separator is a precision device used for separating and determining the oil, brine or gas volumes that are produced from a core sample during a three phase relative permeability test. It consists of a separation bore used for collecting and separating produced fluids under gravity and a measurement bore used for visualising three phases fluid at room conditions. The measurement bore consists of a glass tube to allow for sample visibility. Placing a light behind the tube allows easy discernment of the two interface levels (liquid/liquid and liquid/gas). Measurement of produced fluids during the displacement test is performed with two video cameras which monitors the position of the two interfaces of the three fluids produced from the core sample in the measurement bore of the separator. The position of the interface is directly proportional of the volumes of fluids produced from the core sample and so of the change in the core saturation. The high resolution cameras are equipped with integrated zoom and a back lighting installed in the rear side of the tube. The cameras are connected to the computer station so that the image of the fluid can be displayed and recorded on the PC. The video software incorporates facilities which enable to detect automatically the liquid/ liquid and gas/ liquid interface and so derive the volumes of produced fluids from the core and so the changes in the core saturation. The same system can be used for two phase applications. Other sizes of volume changes glassware are available.
