Rock Compressibility System
Manufacturer: Vinci Technologies
Model Number: RCS-700
The RCS 700 apparatus or rock compressibility system is designed to monitor pore and bulk volume changes under various levels of radial ad axial confining pressures at reservoir temperature. The apparatus consists of a triaxial core holder located in a constant temperature air bath to restore the reservoir conditions on the core sample. The pump cylinder is used to generate and control the pore pressure while the other two pump cylinders are used to generate the axial and radial confining pressures. The volume variations of fluid injected into or expelled from the core sample can be monitored with an extreme accuracy. Automated tests can be programmed to perform a number of measurements at different steps of pressure and temperature without user's intervention.
